Kingfisher High School seniors Caden Kitchens, left, and Maddox Mecklenburg, right, earned Academic All-State honors from the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association. The requirements included a minimum of a 24 on the ACT. Mecklenburg is a KHS valedictorian.

Okarche put on a dominant showing last week to play its way into a Class A regional.The Warriors throttled foes by a combined 31-1 in three games to claim a district title on their home field.The clincher was an 8-0 victory over Wellston on Friday.

Lomega got to show off its new baseball digs.Now it gets to show off some baseball hardware.The Raiders on Friday closed out their Class B district tournament with a 12-3 victory over Timberlake on their home field.The win puts Lomega into this week’s regional tournament.
