Kitchens named 4A Player of the Year

Caden Kitchens has been named the Class 4A Player of the Year by the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association.The honor was one of several handed down by the OBCA last week.Kitchens, who helped guide the Yellowjackets to the Class 4A semifinals, led KHS with 15.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.

The Kingfisher High School girls golf team won’t be advancing in the Class 3A playoffs.Two individuals will, however.KHS took seventh place Tuesday in a regional qualifier held at Kingfisher Golf Course.Only the top-six teams advanced to this week’s regional.

Jackets split with Clinton, finish 4th in baseball district

Kingfisher split its series with Clinton last week to finish 7-5 in district games.However, the Red Tornadoes’ 8-2 victory at KHS on Tuesday was enough to give them third place in the district.KHS had knocked off Clinton 14-12 on the road Monday in a slugfest.
