Wildcats back at state for 6th straight year

Kyle Yowell’s complete game gem helped deliver another state tournament appearance for the Cashion baseball program.The senior right-hander allowed just five hits and struck out 10 Friday as Cashion downed Coalgate 5-0 in a Class 2A-I regional championship game at home.

Kylee Bell will graduate from Dover this week as a two-time state champion.The senior repeated as the Class A champ in the pole vault on Saturday during the state track and field meet at Western Heights High School.She won the event by clearing 10 feet, 6 inches.

Warriors slide into semifinals

Top-ranked Okarche took care of business.The Warriors pounced on Ripley early and rode the momentum to an 11-0 run-rule win in the Class A-I state baseball quarterfinals at Shawnee High School.The win advanced Okarche to Friday’s semifinal against Amber-Pocasset (after press time of this edition).

Matousek has strong showing for HHS

Cashion double dips regional championships

The quartet of Grayson Davis, King Underwood, Cole Baustert and Hank Brown won the day’s final race to give Cashion not one, but two track and field regional championships.Those four Wildcats won the mile relay in 3:32.23, which was two seconds faster than Oklahoma Union.

In the final race of a long, grueling day, the Kingfisher High School girls track and field team pulled off a new school record…and almost a Class 4A regional championship.Scout Snodgrass torched the track for a 56.

Top-seeded Bulldogs down Jackets in regional title game

Kingfisher saw its 2026 baseball campaign come to a close Thursday, but not before winning three times as many games as a season ago.Top-seeded Sulphur completed the sweep through a 4A regional on its home field by knocking off KHS 13-2 in the title game.
