KHS girls snag another XC victory

Chalk up another win for the Kingfisher High School girls.The Lady Jackets were the top team at last Saturday’s OBA/ Chisholm Cross Country Meet in Enid.KHS won the largeschool portion of the meet with just 46 points.Runner-up Watonga scored 106.

Three Kingfisher softball players were named to the Tri-County All-Conference team for their 2021 seasons.Selected to the team were juniors Mya Dewberry, Natalie Dick and Taylor Mills.The conference includes KHS, Pioneer, Fairview, Alva, Watonga, Waukomis, Chisholm and Ringwood.

Kingfisher’s fastpitch softball season came to an end one day sooner than originally scheduled.The Lady Jackets were defeated 6-3 Monday at Bridge Creek.The team was supposed to conclude its season on the road Tuesday in Alva, but that game was ultimately canceled.
