He didn’t get a senior season, but Colby Campbell got one last high school victory. Campbell on Monday helped the West defeat the East 8.5.-6.5 in the All-State Golf Tournament at Lincoln Park Golf Course in Oklahoma City.

Following are the results of the water balloon toss and egg toss competitions held during the Fourth of July activities at Kingfisher Park. The competitions are sponsored each year by the Kingfisher Rotary Club.

Trayson Deterding and Ethan Schellenberg were the big winners when the Kingfisher Lions Club held its annual turtle races. The races were a part of the Fourth of July festivities held last Saturday at Kingfisher Park.

Although she never got to compete in her senior track and field season, Cashion’s Madelyn McCabe still hauled in a big-time honor. The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame last week announced its 2020 Jim Thorpe High School Player of the Year for various sports in the state.

As she sat in the stands the last three years, there was a big part of Haley Mitchel that knew she wanted to be back on the sideline. She now has that opportunity.

A Kingfisher softball team just wrapped up a season during which it went through league play and three tournaments without a single loss. The Kingfisher Lady Jackets last Saturday thumped Guthrie 12-0 to win the Cimarron Valley League 10U Tournament championship in Guthrie.

EAGLES WIN AGAIN –The Oklahoma Eagles Elite basketball team, which features coaches and players from Cashion, had another successful event last weekend. The team beat the Elite Natives 67-63 in overtime in the finals of the Bracket Buster Tournament at the Sons of Ireland facility in Piedmont.
