Yeoman helps KHS girls snap soccer skid

Paige Yeoman was nearly flawless in the goal Thursday night and it lifted the Kingfisher girls soccer team to its second victory of the season. Yeoman delivered a shutout in regulation, then allowed just one goal in a shootout to lift KHS to a 2-1 win at Oklahoma Christian School.

Green named OCA All-State boys coach

Kingfisher High School boys basketball assistant coach was selected for one of the top honors in the profession last week. Green was named the head coach of the Large West team for the Oklahoma Coaches Association boys basketball All-State game.

KHS sweeps Bridge Creek in 4A-2 opener

Kingfisher’s goal of a district championship in baseball got off to the best possible start last week. The Jackets swept Bridge Creek in a 4A-2 double-header Monday at Homier Field. The games were to be played at Bridge Creek Monday and Kingfisher on Tuesday.

KHS baseball camp next week

Kingfisher High School will be hosting its annual baseball camp next week. The camp will be held March 18-20 at Homier Field in Kingfisher Park. It runs 1-4 p.m. each day. Campers will need a hat, glove, cleats, helmet and water bottle or money for concessions.

KHS seeks new girls basketball coach

After 20 years as a head coach, Jay Wood is stepping away. At least for now. Wood informed the Kingfisher High School girls basketball team last Monday that the 2018-19 season was his last.
