Okarche only managed to score two runs Thursday in its state quarterfinal game.Brett Carnott said that was enough.The Warrior righthander pitched a complete game and out-dueled Amber- Pocasset ace Jackson Riley as Okarche edged the Panthers 2-1 at Edmond Santa Fe High School.

Dover’s softball season came to an end last week in a Class B regional.It was reported the Lady Longhorns’ season was ended with a 12-2 loss to Carney.Dover actually defeated Carney by that score to advance in the tournament, but was later knocked out 10-5 by No. 16 Mountain View-Gotebo.

Okarche lands Am-Po in Class A state bracket

Okarche will play Amber- Pocasset in the quarterfi nal round of the Class A fall state baseball tournament.That was revealed Monday when the OSSAA released state brackets for all three classes.The two teams will play at 4 p.m. Thursday at Edmond Santa Fe High School.

Despite not being at full strength, Kingfisher’s girls dominated the standings of the Western Athletic Conference Cross Country Meet.The Lady Jacketsclaimed four of the top five spots and scored just 39 points at Elk City Lake Park in winning the conference crown.

KHS cheer 6th at state

In its move back down to Class 4A, Crossings Christian School won another cheer state championship.CCS was named the Class 4A state champ at last Saturday’s competition at Union High School in Tulsa.It was awarded 261.4 points by judges.

Okarche pulls off softball upset

Okarche softball pulled off one big upset Thursday and nearly got another.The Lady Warriors stunned No. 7 Binger-Oney 7-1 to open their Class A regional in Binger.Okarche then dropped a narrow 6-5 decision to No. 9 Cheyenne in the winner’s bracket game.

Blanchard takes down KHS in regional

Blanchard held Kingfisher to two hits Thursday in a 7-0 victory in their Class 4A regional championship.The win sends Blanchard (32-5) into next week’s super regional round.The loss ends Kingfisher’s season at 23-9.
