Coye Barker Asks Election For Four Years

Stressing the fact that he and his deputies have been taking continuous training to better themselves for their jobs, Kingfisher County Sheriff Coye L. Barker said this week that he will file for re-election to the office for a four-year term.

When the present publishers bought the Times plant a little more than two years ago, they acquired an equity in the building in which it was located. The contract called for payments of $50 per month and interest, running on for a period of more than six years.

Dover residents’ son builds plane

Jim Kale of Enterprise, Ala., a former Dover resident, and retired warrant officer of 28 years, recently remodeled a 1941 Piper Cub. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kale of Dover. Jim’s wife Georgia, is the daughter of Mrs. George Endres of Kingfisher.
