Juvenile arrested after chase leads to crash

A juvenile is in custody and potentially facing multiple charges after allegedly attempting to elude police in a stolen vehicle and starting a chase that led to a collision with a sheriff’s vehicle late Saturday night on Main Street in Kingfisher.Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Sgt.

County takes steps to clear path for jail trust

Kingfisher County commissioners approved several actions (memoranda of understanding) paving the way for a recently created Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Authority to take operation of the county jail, Monday at their weekly meeting.

Board conducts extensive meeting

Members of the Kingfi sher Board of Education met for just over four hours to evaluate the district’s superintendent on Monday evening, about three months after his initial evaluation of the calendar year.

Triple Activity

The south end of Eleventh street was a “hubbub” of activity Friday morning.Bulldozers were digging a path for a new paving project on the dirt street. A little further west, another crew was engaged in a sewer line project. And a house was being moved up the street into the new addition.

Addition Accepted

Kingfisher city offi cials accepted final plans Monday for the Second Francis Addition, which is located west of the First Francis Addition, west of South 13th Street. The area has all been taken into the city limits.
