Arie Lee Whitebird, a loving, kind and generous woman, was born on Sept. 7, 1946, in England, Ark., to Hulon Loftis and Ruby (Browning) Loftis, and passed away April 24, 2026, in Holdenville.

Arie lived a life marked by devotion to her family, compassion for others and steady strength through every season of life.

She earned her GED and went on to serve as an LPN for several years, a vocation that reflected her caring nature and her desire to help others.

Through her work, she touched many lives with patience, dignity and a gentle spirit that made those around her feel valued and comforted.

Family was at the center of Arie’s life and she cherished every moment spent with the people she loved most.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hulon Loftis; her mother, Ruby Browning Loftis; her husband, Woodson Whitebird; her brother, Allen Loftis; and her sisters, Julie Richardson and Amanda Free.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Whitebird and his wife Luana of Guernsey, Wyo., and Jeremiah Whitebird and his wife Tylinn of Ada; her daughter, Rebecca Thomison and her husband Chad of Holdenville; her brother, Alton Loftis of Kingfisher; and her sister, Connie Scott and her husband Pete of Kingfisher.

Arie especially treasured her grandchildren and they brought her great joy throughout her life.

She found happiness in their laughter, their visits and the simple everyday moments that became lasting memories.

Her love for her family was unwavering and she was known for the warmth she offered so freely to those around her. Her home and her heart were places of comfort, where kindness was shown not only in words, but in the way she lived each day.

Those who knew Arie will remember her for the grace with which she carried herself and the generosity she extended to others. She had a gentle way of making people feel welcome and she gave of herself without hesitation.

Her loving nature, her kind heart and her generous spirit left a lasting impression on her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered with deep affection and gratitude for the many ways she enriched the lives of others.

Though her passing leaves a profound emptiness, Arie’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Her life stands as a testament to faithfulness, family devotion and the quiet strength of a woman who gave so much of herself to others.

The love she shared and the example she set will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to her family for years to come.

Arie Lee Whitebird’s legacy is one of love, service and enduring family ties.

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Services are 2 p.m. Monday, May 11, at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Wetumka. Inurnment will be at the Holdenville Cemetery.

Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Wetumka, and officiated by her son, Jeremiah Whitebird.
