Carol Yost
Carol Ann Yost of Edmond passed peacefully at her home on June 7, 2026.
Carol was born Sept. 17, 1944, in Kingfisher to Allen Alvin Yost and Freda Myrl (Robinett) Yost. Carol was raised on the family farm, cultivating an ethic of hard work and a resourceful spirit that defined her life.
After high school, she attended business college and upon completion took a job at Aero Corp where she worked briefly before taking a job with Deluxe Checking.
Carol would spend more than 30 years with Deluxe Checking before retiring in 1997.
Never one to sit still for too long, Carol spent the years following retirement volunteering at Deaconess Hospital. She dedicated 13 years to serving the patients of Deaconess.
Carol loved to travel and spent 44 years cruising the globe with her dear friend and constant companion, Renee Lane. Their travels took them far and wide and led to many valuable friendships along the way.
Her other great love was time spent in a casino and indeed she had the golden touch and was known as the slot queen.
Saturdays in the fall would find Carol cheering for her beloved OU Sooners for football and spring was strictly for OU softball.
Truth be told, Carol cheered for any Boomer Sooner win regardless of sport.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Richard and Donald and great-grand-niece Landry Jean Fialkowski.
Carol is survived by her aunt Sharlene Themer; cousins Kathy Kadavy, Dennis Themer, Linda (Tony) Bishop and Ronnie (Eileen) Robinett; nephews Randy Yost and Rodney Yost; great-nieces Meagan (Spencer) Struck and Morgan (Connor) Fialkowski; great-nephews Mason Yost and Alex Woodring.
Carol also leaves behind a large extended family and many cherished friends.
Funeral services for Carol will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 29, at Federated Church in Kingfisher with burial following at Kingfi sher Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
