Debra Brooks-Hendricks
Debra Kay Brooks-Hendricks passed away on April 9, 2026, after a long battle with cancer.
Her final moments were spent peacefully surrounded by her family and son in his home in Yukon.
She was born to Wilbur (Curly) and Bonnie Brooks on April 23, 1952, in Wichita, Kan.
Her family later moved to Oklahoma and she graduated high school in Pond Creek.
Debbie had many career endeavors, a few being a hospital dietician, American Airlines, Advance Foods, Tyson Foods and her latest being Vault Ice in Norman and Entero Services out of Enid.
With every career choice, she made many new family members of her co-workers.
Known for her beautiful smile, bubbly personality and witty sense of humor, Debbie will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Every person she crossed paths with was treated as family and like one of her own. She always made everyone feel special.
Debbie had a giving heart and loved to help others.
Her family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in her life, not the sadness of her passing.
She was preceded in death by her father, Curly Brooks; mother, Bonnie Brooks; sister, Vicki Lynn; and her favorite aunt-sister, Linda Barwick.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son Kent Hendricks and wife Susan of Yukon; brother Mike Brooks and wife Cindy of Yuma, Ariz.; granddaughter Tysen Reaties and husband Thomas of Oklahoma City; grandsons Garrett Mackey and wife Yanira of Lincolnshire, U.K., and Grady Mackey and wife Camdyn of Tampa, Fla.; two great-grandsons, Kai and Jesper Reaties; and many cherished nieces and nephews and a whole slew of family and friends.
