Frederic ‘Fred’ Reherman
Fredric Henry Reherman was born on Dec. 4, 1947, in El Reno to Lawrence Emil Reherman and Elizabeth Teresa (Meiwes) Reherman.
He passed away Monday, June 1, 2026, at the age of 78.
He was a lifelong member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, where he attended school through the eighth grade before graduating from Kingfisher High School with the Class of 1966.
Fred was raised on the family farm, where he worked alongside his father milking cows and learned the value of hard work, dedication and family.
Following high school, Fred worked in the oilfield before returning to his agricultural roots and establishing his own dairy operation in Kingfisher, which he operated until 1992.
He later worked for Clear Creek Farms and the City of Kingfisher, becoming a familiar and beloved face throughout the community.
Known for his ever-present smile, quick wit and endless supply of stories and jokes, Fred had a gift for making everyone feel welcome.
Fred was blessed with five children who were the pride and joy of his life.
He welcomed his first son, Jason, in 1970, followed by Jeremy in 1974.
In 1984, he married the love of his life, Rhonda Thompson, and proudly adopted her daughter, Jeanne, as his own.
Together, Fred and Rhonda welcomed Justin in 1985 and Jaime in 1988.
He instilled in each of his children a strong work ethic through life on the farm and dairy, but more importantly, he taught them the importance of kindness, family and love.
He simply loved in a way that made the world a better place.
As much as he loved being a father, becoming a grandfather brought Fred a special kind of joy. He was blessed with 20 grandchildren, who quickly became his favorite companions.
He even purchased a van so he could pick them up for school each day, often treating them to donuts along the way.
In 2017, he welcomed his first great-grandchild, beginning a new chapter that eventually grew to include 11 great-grandchildren.
Whether stopping by with donuts after a visit to the coffee shop or sharing stories and laughter, Fred cherished every moment spent with them.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Reherman; his son Jason and wife Ashley of Bennington, Vt.; his son Jeremy and wife Traci of Kingfisher; his daughter Jeanne and husband Logan of Kingfisher; his son Justin and his beloved Melissa of Kingfisher; and his daughter Jaime and husband Anthony of Kingfisher.
He is also survived by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members and countless friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Elizabeth Reherman; his in-laws, Gene and Delores Thompson; his sister, Rita Kolar; his brothers-inlaw, Jim Tenborg, Joe Voss, John Followwill and Rick Thompson; and his beloved grandson and best friend, Garett Wittrock.
Fred was a shining light and a source of unwavering love, kindness and laughter. His presence touched countless lives and his legacy will live on in the family he cherished and the community he loved.
While heaven is shining a bit brighter, with him there, we know the world will never be the same, for us and we know, without a doubt, his reunion with Garett and the others who went before him was a joyous event.
