The funeral for Jan Osland, 79, was Tuesday, June 2, at Union Chapel Church officiated by Pastor Jimmy Berkenbile.

Burial followed at Bison Cemetery under the direction of Cordy-Gritz Funeral home.

Jan passed away May 27, 2026, in Yukon.

Born July 12, 1946, to Orel D. and Nadine Hixon in Enid, she graduated from Hennessey High School and attended Enid Business College.

Jan married Walter Osland on Oct. 13, 1967, at Union Chapel.

After living a short time in North Dakota and Montana, they returned to join her family’s farm operation in Bison to begin Osland Farms and raise their four sons.

She is survived by sons Terry (Tinna) Osland of Bison, Larry (Ella) Osland of El Reno, Barry (Ashley) Osland of Bison and daughter- in-law Joni Epperson of Miami; sister Sharon (Johnny) Dodson Martinez of California; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Jerry Robert, sister Doris Wieigand and brother Robert (Marlene) Hixon.
