Michael Shane Walters
Michael Shane Walters rode through the pearly gates on July 3, 2026, after an 18-month battle with glioblastoma brain cancer.
He fought with grit, unwavering faith, quiet determination and a strength that never wavered.
Though his earthly ride has ended, his legacy will continue through the family he loved, the friends he cherished and the countless lives he touched.
Shane was steady like an old oak – strong enough for others to lean on, deeply rooted in his values and unwavering through every storm life brought his way.
He was a gifted horseman who loved the cowboy way of life. Whether he was in the saddle, working horses, helping a friend or simply spending time with those he loved, Shane left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Above all else, Shane loved his family. He was a devoted husband to Kalicia (Junghanns) Walters and the proud father of Bronc Walters, Curry Walters, Lilly Walters and Linkoln Walters.
His family was his greatalways est source of pride, his purpose and the reason behind everything he worked so hard to build.
Shane is survived by his loving wife; his children; his father, Michael Walters; a brother, Billy Walters; sister, Krystal Walters; and countless friends who became family over the years.
Shane was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Paula Walters.
As his family and friends move forward, they hope one phrase will forever carry his legacy: “Shane Walters Strong.”
It isn’t just a saying; it is a standard. When someone asks, “How strong?” the answer will always be: “Shane Walters strong.”
His boots may be empty, but his tracks will never fade. Somewhere, beyond in heaven, we know he’s already saddling up, riding good horses and watching over all of us.
Until we ride together again.
