The funeral for Nina Lavon Collums, 78, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday Aug. 15, at Dover Christian Church officiated by Jimmy Berkenbile.

Burial will follow at Dover Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Nina was born in Okeene on May 29, 1948, to Johnny and Rosalie Schuber Tice and died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Nina married Donnie Collums in Dover on Sept. 30, 1966.

She was a longtime administrative assistant at Dover Public Schools, a member of Dover Christian Church and the Dover Alumni Association.

She is survived by one son Brian Collums and wife Melissa of Tuttle; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother Johnny “Slugger” Tice and sister Lexia Tice; and many nieces and nephews.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made in her name to the Dover Public School Foundation.
