The funeral for Paula Frances (Pitcock) Zelnicek, 73, was Friday Sept. 25, at First Baptist Church officiated by Jimmy Berkenbille.

Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Paula was born in Duncan on Dec. 3, 1952, to Willie Joyce and Gladys Geraldine Pogue Pitcock and passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, at her home in Hennessey.

She married Eugene T. Zelnicek, Sr., in Hennessey on May 20, 1995.

Paula is survived by son James Fletcher and wife Teresa of Kingfisher; daughter Darla O’Brien of Hennessey; grandchildren Lorynn O’Brien, Niklas Acuna, Lily Fletcher and Dexter Fletcher; sisters Donna Akram and Jennifer Fowler; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Hennessey Community Action Team or Enid SPCA with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
