Graveside services for Peggy Ann White-Collier, 78, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 18, at Hennessey Cemetery Pavilion officiated by Jimmy Berkenbile.

Arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Peggy was born in Ponca City on Feb. 4, 1948, to Anna Belle McCarty and Nuel Wilbur Burgess and died Thursday June 11, 2026, at Hennessey Care Center.

Peggy moved from Tishomingo to Hennessey in the early 1980s to be near family.

Peggy had a long relationship with David Kent Collier, who preceded her in death Sept. 29, 2023.

She is survived by three sisters, Linda Clark of Blackwell, Mary Tucker of Wellington, Kan., and Brenda Reece of Texarkana; sister-in-law Jo Byrd of Hennessey; brother Larry Byrd of Blackwell; and many nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Harold Byrd, Jr., and Gary Byrd and sisters Susie Ickes and Joyce Chambers.
