Paul Joseph Annuschat, 68, Okarche, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020. Public viewing will be Friday, Nov. 6, at Sanders Funeral Chapel. A private family graveside service will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.

Arlene D. Mercer, 91, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 30, 2020, at Countrywood Assisted Living and Memory Care in Kingfisher. Arlene was born Jan. 10, 1929, to Jim and Mildred Coursey Day in Camargo. She married Lyndon W. Mercer on Feb. 14, 1948, in Canadian, Texas.

Ruth Ann Baustert, 94, a lifelong resident of Okarche, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, at Cimarron Nursing Center in Kingfisher. She was born Sept. 18, 1926, to Trubie and Marie Naberhaus Wiewel.

The funeral for Johnnie Belle Ritz, 87, was Monday, Nov. 2, at First Baptist Church in Hennessey and officiated by Rev. Griff Henderson and Rev. Drew McElhaney. Burial followed at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home. Johnnie was born Oct.

Virginia Marjorie Wrobbel was born April 8, 1919, at her home in Omega to Frank J. and Grace Gender Stiner and died Oct. 29, 2020, in Kingfisher at the age of 101. She lived nearly all of her life along State Highway 33 west of Kingfisher. Virginia attended Alpha and Omega schools growing up.

Glenda Kaye (Forbes) Carmichael, 78, Kingfisher, passed away at her home on Oct. 27, 2020. Glenda was the daughter of Glen and Lorene Forbes of Kingfisher. She was a 1960 graduate of Kingfisher High School and remained close friends with most of her classmates throughout the years.

Ronald Dean Smola, 73, died peacefully on Oct. 20, 2020, in Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Ron was born Dec. 12, 1946, in El Reno to Stanley and Neva Smola. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in agronomy.

Donald Gene Burpo, 55, formerly of Kingfisher, passed away peacefully at OU Medical Center of Edmond on Oct. 16, 2020. Donald was born Dec. 23, 1965, to Donald L. and Virginia Burpo at Kingfisher Regional Hospital. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jonathon Burpo.

Bettie Sue West was born Dec. 12, 1947, in Tiller, Ark., to John and Velma (Rogers) West and passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020, at the age of 72. Bettie attended and graduated from Tiller High School in Arkansas, but has been a resident of the Watonga community since 2002.
