Sophie Cruzita Panana Burgess died on Sept. 24, 2025, in Oklahoma City. She was born Feb, 25, 1941, in Jemez Pueblo, N.M.Sophie attended Jemez Springs High School where she graduated May 28, 1963. She lived in California and New Mexico before moving to Kingfisher in 1975.

Bobbie Ruth (Atkinson) Hix was born Jan. 19, 1931, and went to be with her Lord on Sept. 23, 2025, at the age of 94 years.Bobbie married Lee Hix on Nov. 5, 1948. They lived most of their lives in Kingfi sher, but moved to Dickens, Texas, in 1992.

Leota Max Meyers of Kingfisher passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on Sept. 20, 2025.She was born on Aug. 8, 1933, in Marland to Dell Lee and Tillie Reetta Freeman Sanders.Leota’s life was a testament to hard work, dedication and a deep love for her family and community.

Letha Frances Boyle Schulz was born on March 11, 1933, in Rosston to Carter Glen and Sylvia Ochle (Duvall) Boyle. She passed away peacefully on Sept. 18, 2025, in Oklahoma City.

We are very sad to announce that our beloved Nancy Marie Hasenfratz, aged 89, passed away quietly on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at home surrounded by family.

Letha Frances Schulz passed away Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, in Oklahoma City.Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, at Sanders Funeral Service.Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Kingfisher, with burial to follow at Kingfisher Cemetery.

Harvie Joseph “Joe” Free, 80, of Kingfisher, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 30, 2025, at Kingfisher.Joe was born on June 11, 1945.On June 4, 1969, he married the love of his life, Kathleen Janet McCormick, and together they built a strong and loving family.

Laura June Steen, 64, passed away peacefully on Sept. 6, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.Born on Jan. 14, 1961, in Kingfisher, Laura was the third daughter of John Steen and Anna Mae Steen.

Irene Ruth Harzman was born June 5, 1932, in Russell, Kan., to David Mai and Christina (Kerbs) Mai.Irene grew up on a farm west of Russell with her seven brothers and sisters. Irene attended a country school and often talked about the two miles she often walked to and from school.

With deep love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, the family of Irene Marie Krittenbrink announces her peaceful passing on Sept. 10, 2025, in Kingfisher at the remarkable age of 100.
