Robert Alex Rodd, Jr., 59, of Kingfisher, passed away Aug. 19, 2023, in Kingfisher.A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Charles David Smith, 94, passed away peacefully Aug. 15, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born Nov. 27, 1928, in Oklahoma City, the only child of Charles Everett and Mary Irene Foster Smith. Growing up, he raised chickens and pigs.

DEATH NOTICENorman Edward Smola, 85, of Stillwater, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2023.Formerly of Kingfisher, he is the brother of Barbara Bollenbach.Services are 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, at St. Franics Xavier Catholic Church in Stillwater. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery.

Recitation of the Rosary for Diana Miller, 65, will be 6 p.m. Sunday Aug. 13, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hennessey.Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday Aug. 14, at St. Joseph’s officiated by Rev. Edward Menasco.Diana was cremated at her request.

Jana Wilburn, 68, of Woodward, passed away Monday, Aug. 7, at her home.A funeral service was held Friday, Aug. 11, at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Wilburn officiating.Graveside services were Friday at the Kingfisher Cemetery.

Peggy Lynette Holt Bollenbach of Kingfisher went to her heavenly home on Aug. 3, 2023.Peggy was born July 6, 1964, in Jesup, Ga.In December 1975 she moved with her parents, George and Jeanne Holt, to Dover.It is there she grew up and went to Dover School.

Shawn Michael Jacobs, 52, died Wednesday, July 26, 2023, in Los Angeles, Calif., following a brief hospitalization for a head injury sustained from a fall.Shawn was born to Gordon and Sandra (Werner) Jacobs in Lawton and had lived most of his adult life in the Bakersfield, Calif., area.

On Friday, July 28, 2023, Margie Lucille (Stroud) Burpo passed peacefully in her home, located on the property where she had lived most of her 95 years of life.Margie was born June 17, 1928, in Kingfisher to parents Alfred Ross “Slim” Stroud and Nannie Imogene Thompson Stroud Blair in Kingfisher.

Elizabeth “Lizzie” Virginia Milligan was born Nov. 25, 1964, the second child to Francis and Edwina Starr Milligan in Kingfisher.Lizzie peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 29, 2023.

Julianne Storm, 83, passed away July 29, 2023, at her home in Kingfisher.She was born June 12, 1940, in Kingfisher to Eldon Meade and Nancy (Weir) Glass.Julie was a lifelong resident of Kingfisher and a 1958 graduate of Kingfisher High School.
