Born one of five siblings in Kingfisher on June 29, 1933, as Elinora Carol Burnett, Eleanor Gilmour Sasaki passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020, surrounded by her loving family in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Nora Sturgeon, 65, passed away April 30, 2021. Services are pending.

Donnesa Jo Schweitzer, 59, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 19, 2021, at her mother’s house in Kingfisher, after a courageous battle with cancer. Donnesa was born Jan. 7, 1962, in Kingfisher to Ladonna Joyce Schweitzer and Doyle Herman Schweitzer.

Memorial service for Curtis Brent Fisher, 41, Hennessey, was Saturday, May 1, at First Baptist Church of Hennessey and officiated by Jimmy Berkenbile. Cremation arrangements were by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Services for Linda Rae Casteel, 75, of Hennessey were held at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Covington on Saturday, April 24, with the Rev. Tom Donaldson officiating. Burial followed at the Covington Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Wynema Colleen (LaRue) Godsy was born Jan. 16, 1925, in Leonard, Okla., the daughter of William L. and Veloura LaRue. She passed away on April 25, 2021, in Oklahoma City due to respiratory failure at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward Leon Godsy.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Curtis Eugene Turner, 68, of Hennessey, was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hennessey on Wednesday, April 28, with Father Edward Manasco officiating. Burial followed at Hennessey Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jeanette Theresa Vogt Bollman died peacefully on April 19, 2021, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Jeanette and her identical twin sister, Annette, were born to Joseph and Marie Vogt in Okarche on Dec. 1, 1940.

Malvin Frank Kadavy, 90, of Kingfisher, passed away on April 17, 2021. He was born June 12, 1930, in Kingfisher to Jerry and Mary Kadavy. He was born on the family farm east of Kingfisher that his grandfather homesteaded in the Run of 1889. Malvin graduated from Big 4 High School in 1948.
