Lawson Geheb grabbed the win in the circle and drove in five runs Friday as Okarche knocked off Fort Cobb-Broxton 9-1 at home.

It was the middle of three games over three days for the Lady Warriors.

It was also the only one not part of the Jacie Stephens Cochran Memorial Softball Festival in Cashion where they were defeated 5-1 by Class 4A Bethany on Thursday and 10-9 by 3A’s Heritage Hall on Saturday.

That left Okarche with a 8-4 record entering this week.

With her team up 2-0 against Fort Cobb, Geheb put the game away in the bottom of the second with a three-run home run.

The Lady Warriors continued to build on their lead when Geheb drove in two runs with a fourth-inning single and then Callie Cramer drove home another with a double.

Batting second in the lineup, Geheb went 2 for 2.

Leadoff hitter Katie Parham was 2 for 3 with a pair of runs scored.

Geheb allowed five hits over five innings, struck out four and walked one.

She struck with the long ball again on Saturday against the Chargers as Okarche built a five-run lead, but ultimately was unable to keep it.

Geheb belted a two-run shot over the centerfield wall in the top of the fourth inning to give Okarche a 7-2 lead.

Those were her second and third RBIs of the game as her groundout in the third pushed home a run.

That was part of a threerun inning that also saw Kinley Pruett deliver an RBI triple and Emma Roby earn an RBI when she reached on an error.

After Geheb’s homer in the fourth, Heritage Hall answered with five runs in the bottom half to tie the game.

The Chargers used four singles, an error and a pair of walks to help score the runs.

In the fifth, the teams went to the international tie-breaker which saw both teams start their half-inning with a runner at second and nobody out.

Roby gave Okarche the lead back when her double scored Pruett, but Heritage Hall got out of the inning without further damage.

The Chargers got their own chance and capitalized with an RBI groundout.

In the sixth, both teams started their half-inning with the bases loaded and one out.

Up first, Okarche got a fielder’s choice RBI from Charlie Petty to score Roby, but that was all the Lady Warriors could muster.

Heritage Hall, meanwhile, managed to walk it off with a two-out double to end the game.

Avery Treece pitched the first four innings for Okarche and gave up nine hits, seven runs (four earned) and struck out four.

Geheb threw the remainder of the game and gave up one hit and struck out two.

None of her three runs was earned.

Seven different Okarche players had one hit apiece.

Parham and Chloe Rother both scored two runs while Pruett scored three times.
