The outfield wall took a beating Monday night thanks to the bats of the Kingfisher softball team.

The Lady Jackets pounded out five extra-base hits as they won their third straight, 7-3 against visiting Woodward.

Each of those victories during the streak was a district game as KHS moved to 4-1 in 4A-3 and 11-6 overall.

Down 1-0 after an unearned Weatherford run in the top of the first, Kingfisher saw leadoff batter Adlee Friesen bounce a hard-hit double off the wall.

It started a trend for KHS.

Kendall Farrar scored Friesen with her base hit to tie the game.

In the second, Addison Johnson gave the Lady Jackets their second extra- base hit and a lead they’d never lose with an RBI triple.

Callie Blair’s groundout pushed home another run for a 3-1 lead.

The next extra-base hit was a standup double by Liliana Garramone with two outs in the frame, a shot to left-center that was about 1 foot shy of clearing the wall.

Jossalyn Schulz belted a solo homer for the Lady Eagles in the top of the third to bring her team within a run.

The Lady Jackets had the opportunity to extend their lead in the bottom of the frame when they loaded the bases with no outs. However, three straight ground balls allowed Weatherford to get out of the inning unscathed.

Kingfisher did get a run back in the fourth when Avery Harder walked and eventually got to third base on a throwing error. Garramone’s groundout scored Harder for a 4-2 advantage.

The Lady Eagles wouldn’t go away and plated their own run in the fifth, but that’s all they got off Lily Voth.

The junior threw all seven innings, surrendered five hits and two earned runs and struck out seven batters without giving up a walk.

She got more run support in the fifth when Johnson reached and later scored on a passed ball.

That was followed by Friesen, who earlier picked up her second double of the game by bouncing an opposite field shot over the wall, making it 6-3 with a fielder’s choice that allowed Blair to score from third.

The sixth saw Farrar nearly send a leadoff ball out of the yard, but it also found the top of the fence. The junior settled for a triple and then scored the final run on a wild pitch.

KHS had 11 hits as a team.

Farrar was 3 for 4 with an RBI and a run.

Friesen and Johnson both went 2 for 4.

Friesen scored once and Johnson twice while also picking up an RBI.

Kingfisher hosted Clinton on Tuesday before making a trip to Woodward on Thursday. The Boomers have still lost just one game all season, a 5-3 setback to KHS last Thursday.
