Even down a starter, Kingfisher was able to continue its run through District 4A-3.

The Lady Jackets won for the eighth straight time Tuesday night as they runruled Weatherford 12-1 on the road.

With that victory, KHS is 9-1 in 4A-3 with two more district games remaining. Just one win in those games - Monday at Clinton and Tuesday at Bethany - locks up the district title, which would be a first for the program. Kinlee East got into - and then out of - trouble in the bottom of the first inning.

The senior walked the bases loaded with one out, but struck out the final two batters of the frame to keep the game scoreless.

But not for long. Six KHS hits and two Weatherford errors led to the Lady Jackets scoring seven times in the top of the third inning.

That included back-toback RBI singles by Adlee Friesen and Leni Murray.

The latter was in the lineup in place of Ryan Scammahorn, who is nursing

a knee injury.

Murray took her spot in right field and second in the batting order.

The sophomore scored when Kendall Farrar followed triple.

Farrar then scored on East’s RBI single for a 7-0 lead.

It jumped to 9-0 in the fourth when Addison Johnson jacked her fifth home run of the season. It scored Lily Voth, who preceded her with a single. Farrar then capped the scoring with a three-run bomb to center field in the fifth inning. The junior slugger, who has four homers this year, was one of five Lady Jackets with multiple hits as she led the team with 5 RBIs. Friesen went 3 for 4 and scored twice. Farrar, Voth, Johnson and Liliana Garramone each had two hits as KHS combined for 13 as a team.

Voth, Farrar and Garramone each scored twice while Johnson had 2 RBIs and a run.

East scattered four hits and struck out eight in her five innings of work.

The win streak got pushed to nine games on Thursday as the Lady Jackets thumped the OKC Broncos in a 12-0 run rule.

Prior to the game, East, Friesen, Garramone and Savannah Hardison (also out with a knee injury) were honored on Senior Night.

During the game, East pitched a three-inning no-hitter and struck out six batters.

All three seniors in the lineup had a hit in the game.

Seven different Lady Jackets combined for the eight total hits.

Voth led with way with a 2 for 3 effort that included 2 RBIs and a run.

Farrar drove in three runs while Murray had 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored.

Friesen scored three times while Callie Blair and Garramone scored twice each.

Kingfisher is now 17-6 on the season.
