When things got tight, Cashion went to its leader.Lauren Jenkins delivered as the Lady Wildcats beat Morrison 47-41 to open their season at home last Friday night.Up by seven at the half, Cashion scored just four points in the third quarter and saw its lead shrink to one.

The new era of Cashion basketball just needed a chance to catch its breath and relax.Once that happened, the result was like so many others over the last several years as the Wildcats have emerged as one of the best programs in Class 2A.
