Lady Eagles stifle Seiling offense for title

Hennessey locked down Seiling’s offense to complete an impressive three-day run through the Holiday Classic Tournament in Mooreland.The Lady Eagles downed previously unbeaten Seiling 47-24 in Saturday’s championship game to move to 5-0 on the season.

Brackets were released last week for the 48th Bertha Frank Teague Mid-America Classic.The tournament annually features some of the top girls’ basketball teams in the state and is played at East Central University’s Kerr Activity Center in Ada.This year’s tournament will be played Dec.

Yellowjackets dominate after slow start

Lomega senior Kinsley Fisher signed on Wednesday to continue her track and field career at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Fisher signed during a ceremony at the high school in front of family, coaches and classmates.

The Okarche boys will be a part of the field later this month at the 60th Tournament of Champions in Tulsa.It will be played Dec. 29-31 at the BOK Center.Ranked No. 1 in Class A, Okarche drew Class 5A’s East Central in the first round.
