If the Kingfisher softball team is going to take the next step in 2025, it certainly managed a big first step on Tuesday night.A hot start at the plate, a superb performance in the circle and two late home runs from a senior led the Lady Jackets to a 6-2 victory at Bethany in their season opener.

After slow start, Okarche offense wakes up against Chattanooga

It took Okarche’s offense a few innings to get kickstarted.Once it did, the Lady Warriors had more than enough firepower to improve to 2-0 on the season.Okarche scored all its runs in its final three atbats Tuesday to earn a 7-1 victory at home against Chattanooga.

LTCA holding class this Wednesday in Enid

Money talks at KPS board meeting

Although the Kingfisher Board of Education didn’t approve an estimate of needs at last week’s meeting, there was still a fair share of money talk by Superintendent Andy Evans.The board held its regular August meeting on Monday and an item to approve the estimate of needs was on the agenda.
