A lifelong of friendship trumps a college rivalry. That reality was on display all day Wednesday when Kingfisher High School had one of its most prolific signing days in history...with more yet to come. Six KHS seniors signed National Letters of Intent during various ceremonies throughout the day.

The new face of State House District 59, Mike Dobrinski of Okeene, with his wife Ginny, was officially sworn into office in an improvised ceremony at the State Capitol. HD 59 veteran Mike Sanders retired from the office after completing his maximum six two-year terms.

Outbreak sends Okarche virtual

A COVID-19 outbreak that’s resulted in a large number of absences will see Okarche’s high school and junior high students move to virtual learning the next two weeks. Superintendent Josh Sumrall announced the move Thursday and made it effective beginning Friday.

Curbside limb service Wednesday

Bullis Enterprises will start picking up curbside tree limbs in Hennessey starting Wednesday, Nov. 16. Tree limbs must be curbside by Nov. 16, said Tiffany Tillman, town clerk.
