Crescent freshmen among state’s best in Greenhand CDE

Haileigh Hatfield and Mikenna Morris of the Crescent FFA chapter were two of 50 high school freshman FFA members from across Oklahoma to qualify for the state finals of the Greenhand Quiz Career Development Event. The competition was held Oct. 20 at Embassy Suites in Norman.

Annual Cattlemen’s feed is Monday

Kingfisher Cattlemen’s Association is hosting its annual trade show and feed next week. It will be held Monday, Nov. 2, at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds Exhibit Building. Vendor booths will be open beginning at 5 p.m. A steak dinner will be served at 7 p.m.

Leaders in all fields raise alarm on McGirt decision

Numerous leaders in many fields are raising the alarm about the repercussions of the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision in McGirt v. Oklahoma, which declared the Muscogee (Creek) Nation’s reservation was never disestablished.
