RCC offers FAFSA aid

Completing the annual Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process can be a daunting task, but Redlands Community College’s financial aid team is offering to help families complete application. Even if they don’t attend RCC. Normal business hours on Mondays are 8 a.m.-7 p.m.

Traffic accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: September 25, 2:28 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Chisholm Drive. Cheyenne Ortega, 18, Hennessey, driving a 2008 Ford Focus, was stopped in the inside lane of southbound U.S.

Larry Haynie

Larry Eugene Haynie, the son of Cletis and Norma (Wilson) Haynie, was born Jan. 19, 1950, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020, at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln, Neb., at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 3 days. Larry was raised in Glenwood, Iowa.

LaDonna Kochenower

LaDonna Kochenower was born Dec 11, 1929, near Hitchcock to Albert David and Ella Kline Hauser and went to her Heavenly home Oct. 24, 2020, in Kingfisher. LaDonna went to school at Loyal, Alpha and Omega and graduated in 1948 from Omega High School. She married Billy Joe Kochenower on Dec.

Anna Dettweiler

Anna Ruth Dettweiler, 87, passed away at Cimarron Nursing Center in Kingfisher on Oct. 25, 2020. Anna was born May 25, 1933, in Enid to William and Anna Pearl Kaps. She graduated from High School and attended Hill Business School. She married Dennis Dettweiler on Sept. 13, 1958, in El Reno.

Bettie Sue West

Bettie Sue West was born Dec. 12, 1947, in Tiller, Ark., to John and Velma (Rogers) West and passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020, at the age of 72. Bettie attended and graduated from Tiller High School in Arkansas, but has been a resident of the Watonga community since 2002.

Donald Burpo

Donald Gene Burpo, 55, formerly of Kingfisher, passed away peacefully at OU Medical Center of Edmond on Oct. 16, 2020. Donald was born Dec. 23, 1965, to Donald L. and Virginia Burpo at Kingfisher Regional Hospital. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jonathon Burpo.
