Gorden ‘Dwane’ Kuehl

Gorden “Dwane” Kuehl, 59, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, at his home in Hennessey. Dwane had been a truck driver since age 16, driving in the Oklahoma oil fi elds, cross country and, most recently, hauling rock and sand across Oklahoma.

Services are pending with Huber-Benson Funeral Home in El Reno for Paul Hoebing. Paul died Monday, Nov. 18 at Oklahoma Veterans Center in Norman.

Kingfisher travels to Tulsa Friday to play second-ranked Lincoln Christian in the second round of the 3A football playoffs. Kickoff is 7 p.m. Lincoln Christian is 11-0 and coming off a 56-7 win over Inola. “They’re good...really good,” KHS head coach Jeff Myers said.

Disputed DCP property taxes finally paid out
