Kingfisher Lions Club has announced Victoria Lumpkin and McCall Sinclair as the Junior Lions for November 2019. Both are seniors at Kingfisher High School. Lumpkin is the daughter of Dewayne and April Lumpkin.

New officers proposed at Theta Chapter of DKG meeting

Theta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International met Saturday, Nov. 2, at Kingfi sher Memorial Library. Ramona Paine, Enid, president, called the meeting to order at 10 a.m. and Jan Stinson, Fay, gave the devotional, “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten” by Robert Fulghum.

A new painting by Jeff Dodd is the latest in NBC Oklahoma’s Artist Series and will be featured at the Kingfi sher branch. His realistic work, “Frontier Rodeo Company Yearlings,” depicts a herd of horses under an open sky with cumulus clouds.

Hennessey Child Study Club makes donations

Members of the Hennessey Child Study Club voted to make donations to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and the Reserve Angels Christmas Project for needy families during their Nov. 7 meeting at the First Christian Church.

Jenni Beebe has yet to play a game as a Kingfisher Yellow-jacket, but she has signed a National Letter of Intent as one. Beebe, a senior at KHS, signed last Wednesday to continue her basketball career at Oklahoma Baptist University.
