For several years, high school juniors have been able to take college courses through Redlands Community College’s concurrent enrollment program, but they have been responsible for the full cost of the program while seniors have been able to receive tuition waivers to offset the cost.

Center of Family Love is hosting an arts festival from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, in St. Michael’s Gym on CFL’s Okarche campus. The event includes musical performances from the bell choir, vocal and sign language performance of “Don’t Give Up on Me,” and solo, duet and quartet vocal performances.

VIEW The submission by friend and neighbor Kenneth Glazier about Loyal’s early history in Wednesday’s edition reminded me of one of my “sins of omission.” A preacher we knew years ago warned us that sins of omission were the most common kind and sometimes the worst.

It was well known that I didn’t inherit my mother’s green thumb. When I got married the first time in ’62 she’d bring over house plants one week, take them home the next and bring them back to life, bring them back again. And again.

One of my biggest regrets in life is that I never got my pilot’s license. I often wonder what kind of career I’d have had if I took the money I spent on getting a college degree and spent it instead on auction school and flying lessons.

Dante de Blasio is the son of Democratic New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, who has abandoned his crime-wracked city (but not his public office, tax-subsidized salary or perks) for a quixotic presidential bid to become America’s social justice warrior-in-chief.

Where do we go from here? First, let’s put God back in our schools and make sure the kids learn and understand the constitution. Any teacher that attempts to teach the koran and Islam should be fired and deported to a Muslim country.
