Livestock panel mishap claims 4 -year-old’s life

Whitley Ryan Rother, 4-year-old daughter of Jared and Jaime Rother of Okarche, died Saturday at Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, of injuries suffered Friday when a metal livestock panel fell on her.

Kingfisher’s Burns awarded OKFB scholarship

Peyton Burns, a Kingfisher High School senior, has been awarded a $1,000 college scholarship from the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee. The scholarship is presented to high school seniors pursuing a degree in agriculture at an accredited Oklahoma institute of higher learning.

Cashion's Superior Percussion Performance

Members of the Pride of Cashion band competed at the OSSAA’s state competition April 17 at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. The Pride’s percussion ensemble received a Superior (1) rating for its performance.

Several local students set to earn NWOSU degree this month

Spring commencement exercises at Northwestern Oklahoma State University will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at Ranger Field. Roland Pederson, 1972 Northwestern graduate and Oklahoma state senator from Burlington elected in 2016, will be speaking at the commencement.
