Read moreHebrews 6:18 God said to Cain, “If you do what is right, will you not be accepted?” Let’s review what we have learned so far. In Genesis we learned that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. It is stated as fact by the writer of this passage inspired by the Holy Spirit. Our faith is based on this fact, God is our creator. We learned that God created everything and said it was good. He created mankind in his image, male and female and blessed them and said they were very good. The male and female gender is God’s plan. Knowing what is right and not doing it, acknowledging it, is sin. Then he says something very important – “a man shall leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24 They are to be fruitful and multiply. This is foundational in our relationship with God. The family unit, husband (male) and wife (female) and children, is God’s plan for mankind and acceptable before him. Knowing what is right and not doing it is sin and is unacceptable before God.
