LAWSON GEHEB and the Okarche Lady Warriors joined much of the rest of the state Monday in starting their respective fall seasons. The Lady Warriors downed Amber- Pocasset 6-1 at home to begin the 2025 fast-pitch softball campaign. Monday also marked the fi rst day for football practices and fall baseball.

Judges deemed Mike Gore’s 1939 Panel truck (top left) as Best of Show at last weekend’s Kool Cars & Chrome Show hosted by the Kingfi sher Chamber of Commerce. There were 113 entries this year, the most ever for the event. Ed Thiems’ Ford F100 (top right) won the award for Best Engine. Jerry Smith (bottom right) won Best Interior with his 1959 Impala. The Best Paint honor went to Mike Effinger (bottom left) and his 1957 Bel Air.
