CHRISTMAS CARD WORTHY

CHRISTMAS CARD WORTHY is the best description of the 6.5 inches of snow that fell in Kingfisher County all day Sunday, including these scenes captured east of Kingfisher. Local Weather Observer Steve Loftis measured 3.5 inches at 7 a.m. Sunday morning and another three inches at 7 a.m. Monday. The snow limited church attendance but mostly melted on roadways during the day and sanding crews kept ahead of it on state highways. Additional snow started falling Tuesday and was still coming down at press time. Mesonet precipitation reports included the following: Kingfisher .12, Guthrie .16, El Reno .2, Marshall .12, Breckenridge .08, Lahoma .05, Minco .28, Idabel 1.08, Valliant 1.13, and Boise City .05. For plenty more beautiful area snow photos submitted by local residents, from scenic snowscakes to snowmen, forts, kids and dogs, please check out our Facebook Page. /KT&FP Staff Photos by Twila Adams]
