4-H, Cloverbuds’ Food Showdown, Cupcake Wars winners announced

Kingfisher County 4-H Food Showdown and Cloverbud Cupcake Wars were held late last month at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds Exhibit Building.There were 11 Cloverbuds who participated in the Cupcake Wars.The Cloverbuds decorated cupcakes like turtles.

County students earn RCC degrees

Redlands Community College recently celebrated the class of 2025 with the graduation of nearly 200 students during its Spring commencement ceremony that included a keynote address from Chancellor Sean Burrage, the chief executive officer for the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education.

KPS insurance premium drops $40K this year

There was a bit of good news when it came to Kingfisher Public Schools’ insurance for 2025-26.The board of education last Wednesday voted to approve a contract with Oklahoma Schools Insurance Group (OSIG) to provide that coverage with a premium cost of $571,128.

County gives thumbs up to Resound Networks

Kingfisher County commissioners voted approval for a letter of endorsement for a BEAD grant for Resound Networks to provide high speed internet service to rural Oklahoma, including Kingfisher County, Monday at their weekly meeting.
