Gilmour students prepare special

Approximately 75 Gilmour Elementary School pre-kindergarten and transitional kindergarten students prepared a special treat for their moms to celebrate Mother’s Day.Each student put forth their best effort to color a special cup for mom and fill it with her favorite candy.

Cookie sales lead to weekend of fun, giving for Troop 424

Kingfisher County Girl Scout Troop 424 spent a weekend last month in downtown Oklahoma City in celebration of a successful cookie season.The girls attended Brickopolis, had a hotel swimming party and visited the Myriad Gardens.

Various much-needed road construction projects around the county are causing detour woes for motorists lately.As Dover-Crescent Road and Beard Road are both out of normal commission, another job is also awaiting completion.

Women for OSU awarded a record 18 scholarships to Oklahoma State University students recently at its annual symposium.According to Women for OSU, those who received scholarships have a strong passion for philanthropy and display leadership in their communities.
