The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:October 13 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer and using offensive weapon in felony.Officer Jarred Tech responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.

Rotary Club hosts pair of KHS seniors

Two Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.Joining the local civic group were Hubert Haag and Alondra Ortega.Haag is the son of Mack Haag and Tony Haag.He’s active in football, wrestling, baseball and FFA.

Voter registration deadline nears

Friday, Dec. 20, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the Jan. 14, 2025, special election in Kingfisher.The election is to extend a one-half cent sales tax for 10 years in order to help fund the construction of a new fire department.

KHS names November Students of the Month

Kingfisher High School has named its Students of the Month for November 2024.Students are chosen based on many characteristics including responsibility, leadership, work ethic, reliability, kindness and more.

KPS moving forward with reduction in force

While continuing to disagree with the legality of the county excise board’s move earlier this year, Kingfisher Public Schools is also continuing to move forward to fall in line with that amended budget.The next step in that process will see several KPS staff members lose their jobs this week.
