A story regarding a meeting of the Hennessey Board of Trustees in the Sept. 18 edition stated Lezlie Hardin made a remark from the audience about parking issues on Oklahoma Street.Hardin was not at the meeting.It was Ashley Zielny who made the remark.

Four Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.Joining the local civic group were Isabella Mayberry, Hannah Borelli, Hailey Crosswhite and Bianca Garcia.Mayberry is the daughter of Janet Mueggenborg.

Superintendent David Glover passes away

The Kingfisher community was saddened Saturday upon waking up to the news of the death of one of its most ardent supporters.David Glover, superintendent of Kingfisher Public Schools since June 2022, passed away in the early morning hours of Sept. 14, ending a years-long battle with cancer.He was 65.

Chamber luncheon postponed

Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce has postponed its annual “State of Education” luncheon.It was originally scheduled this Thursday, Sept. 19, at Chisholm Trail Technology Center.
