Split vote pushes through estimate of needs

A 19-minute meeting late Friday morning wasn’t without its contention.In the end, the Kingfi sher Board of Education approved an estimate of needs for 2024-25 and also finalized contracts with seven certified staff members, but neither vote was completely unanimous.

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:August 17, 11:54 a.m. At 1609 S. Main St. Luis Castillo, 26, Oklahoma City, driving a 2005 Dodge S1T, was stopped in the parking lot of Jacket Express, 1609 S. Main St., waiting to merge onto U.S. 81.

Sanders to chair innovative education task force

State Education Secretary Nellie Sanders of Kingfisher will chair a new task force designed to help students discover their talents and use technology to develop those skills.Governor Kevin Stitt last Friday issued an executive order forming the Human Potential for Future Industries Task Force.

KPS delays approving estimate of needs

It appears Kingfisher Public Schools is intent on paying down a lawsuit settlement and keep it off the tax rolls of district landowners.However, the district still has a couple of hurdles to clear.
