Kingfisher High School has named its Students of the Month for April 2023.Students are chosen based on many characteristics including responsibility, leadership, work ethic, reliability, kindness and more.

Lily Fletcher and Xavier Ridenour were awarded scholarships during the annual Junior Lions Banquet.The two Kingfisher High School seniors were announced as the winners and presented $500 checks by Lions Club President Cindy Harris during the May 1 ceremony at the Federated Church.

With construction taking place at the football field, Kingfisher High School graduation will move back to the APB this year.The graduation ceremony is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20.For those unable to attend, the ceremony will be live streamed at www. kingfishersports.tv.

The Kingfisher Elks Lodge hosted its annual honors banquet to recognize some of Kingfisher County’s top high school seniors. The honors graduates were invited to attend with their families.

Recent Hennessey Police Department reports: Cruelty to Animals – There were reports April 12, and earlier in the month, that seven or eight juvenile males were throwing rocks at the geese in Bull Foot Park.

Chisholm Trail Technology Center held its annual end-of-the-year completion ceremony last week to celebrate the successes of its students for 2022-23. Among the honors presented were the CTTC Students of the Year awards.
