Dover FFA agronomy team wins state

The Dover FFA chapter traveled to Stillwater on April 23 to compete in the state FFA contests, better known as the OSU Interscholastics.The agronomy team consisting of Emory Norton, Pedro Valles, Gabby Cervantes and Aliyah Bowers, was named state champion at the event.

Weather delays baseball, golf

Rains that covered much of the state did their part to affect local playoff contests.In baseball, regional tournaments that were set to begin Thursday were pushed back a day.Cashion hosted a 2A regional that also included Minco, Walters and Ketchum.

Purintun among state’s top trainers

Kingfisher High School senior Sydney Purintun has been honored for her work as an athletic trainer for the school’s athletes. Purintun was recently named an All-State alternate for the western half of the state by the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Athletic Trainers.
