A Kingfisher woman was arrested east of Kingfisher Saturday evening after a high-speed chase with a Kingfisher County Sheriff’s deputy.Bond was set Monday at $10,000 for Audrey Lynn Markus, 32, of Kingfisher, who remained jailed as of Tuesday afternoon. Formal charges had not yet been filed.

TURBINE FIRE — A wind turbine caught fire sometime Saturday at Kingfisher Wind Farm southeast of Kingfisher at the intersection of NS 2920 and EW 840 roads. Okarche Fire Department was notified of the fire shortly after 12:30 p.m.

Kingfisher High School seniors Jacee Mueggenborg and James Perdue have been announced as the January 2022 Junior Lions by the local Lions Club.Mueggenborg is the daughter of Cory and Carrie Mueggenborg.She is active in cross country and track, among other activities.

Kingfisher Winter Nights ended another successful holiday season, board member Tim Abercrombie told the Kingfisher Lions Club at their Thursday meeting.Abercrombie, who also is a Lions Club member, said he was one of eight board members who organized the annual lights display at Kingfisher Park.
