Carli Seabolt of Alva was named Miss Northwestern Oklahoma State University 2022 during the annual Miss Northwestern competition on Sunday, Oct. 31.Kingfisher’s Cora Beth Taylor was among the contestants and was named Miss Northwestern People’s Choice winner.

Contest winners at 4-H Family Fright Night held Friday, Oct. 29, at MACenter at Kingfisher County Fairgrounds have been announced.In the pumpkin decorating contest, Karstan Mayer took first place, Paxton Terrell was second and Kaydence Terrell was third.All three are from Kingfisher.

Kingfisher Bookcase Review Club donates $900 to holiday charities

Christmas is coming and many charitable Kingfisher organizations are turning their sights on funding worthwhile projects.The Kingfisher Bookcase Review Club recently voted to assist local organizations through donations, according to President Carol Kooken.

AG’s office files suit Friday to stop mandate

Oklahoma Attorney General John O’Connor partnered with six other attorneys general to file a petition before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit challenging the Biden Administration’s vaccine mandate for private sector employees.
