Grass fire reported near wind turbines at 670 Road-East of Dover Oct. 7, 2:51 p.m.Three smoke alarms going off at 600 N. Main St. (Sleep Inn & Suites Hotel) were reported to the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office by security company Oct. 9 at 11:26 a.m. Engines 1 and 2, and brush pumper dispatched.

The following traffic accident is being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:October 15, 7:15 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Starlite Drive.A 17-year-old female, Okarche, driving a 2021 Ford Mustang, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81 and stopped at the intersection of Starlite Drive.

Kingfisher Chamber Executive Director Shauna Rupp said judges for this year’s fall decorating contest faced a difficult decision, with more than 30 local businesses putting out their fall finest to provide a festive welcome to community visitors.

Kingfisher County Assessor Carolyn Mulherin, 61, died Saturday afternoon from complications of COVID-19, leaving a void at the county courthouse, as well as within her family.
