A $145,000 bid to replace 1 1/4-inch and 2-inch water lines with six-inch lines on Bonita and Cimarron streets was approved by the Hennessey Board of Trustees last Thursday. The winning bidder is REI Holdings, LLC, dba Pinnacle Underground, Oklahoma City.

Friday was the last weekday for the Hennessey pool to be open, but it will be open on weekends until Sept. 4, Labor Day weekend, Tiffany Tillman, town administrator, told the town board last Thursday night. The pool is now open Saturdays from noon-6 p.m. and Sundays 1-6 p.m.

Kingfisher County commissioners tabled bids Monday on a conversion that would provide the Dover Fire Department with a tanker truck. Two bids were opened during the commissioners’ weekly meeting. The original notice requested bids that would convert a 1995 Freightliner into a tanker truck.
