Kingfisher First United Methodist Church is hosting its annual Vacation Bible School this week. It will be held Tuesday-Friday (Aug. 3-6) from 6 to 8 p.m. at 1800 S. 13th St. It’s open to children entering pre-k through the fifth grade. The theme this year is “How Great Thou Arts.

The dress code for Kingfisher Public Schools students will once again be discussed at the next meeting of the board of education. The board will hold its regular August meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the KHS cafeteria.

A number of youth golfers learned skills of the game at the 2021 Yellowjacket Golf Camp held July 20-21 at Kingfisher Golf Course. KHS boys golf coach Chris Combs and local club pro Gary Wilson instructed the campers and were assisted by some of the high school golfers as well.

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: July 3, 10:10 p.m. - At Mitchell Boulevard and South Frontage Road. Dannon Combest, 33, driving a 2013 Kenworth, was parked in a parking space.

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: July 16 – Larceny of service station gasoline-pump piracy. Officer Jeffrey Robbins responded to a report of an individual failing to pay for gas at Stop-N-Go, 1005 S. Main St.
